The Mercedes 190 SL has a special history of origin. It is an original Dutch car. The car has no hidden problems. It has original solex carburetors.. After a suggestion from the American Mercedes importer, it was set up in record time. As a cheaper and lighter alternative to the iconic Mercedes 300 SL. Mercedes uses the Mercedes 190 Ponton as a basis and in 1954 the prototype of the 190 SL is presented at the New York motor show. A year later, the production version is shown to the public in Geneva. The 190 SL is not marketed as a sports car, but as a comfortable, multifunctional two-seater. More than 25,000 were sold between 1955 and 1963. The Mercedes 190 SL is now a precious classic. The car has a beautiful silver color and red upholstery. The dashboard is also from red leather. The car has a 1900 cc motor. With 2 carburetors. It is a cabrio, but the roof is not in perfect condition. The car has nice white wall tires, those are also in good condition.
