Documentation

The Volkswagen Samba, known in the United States as Sunroof deluxe, was the most luxurious version of the Volkswagen T1. The Samba was put into production from 1951 to 1967. Originally, Volkswagen vans were classified according to the number of windows they had. At the time, the model had 23 windows. To distinguish between the regular 23-ramer and the luxury version, the name Samba was devised. The Samba had two revolving doors on the side instead of a sliding door. In addition, the Samba had a fabric sliding roof that could be slid open and there were panoramic windows in the sides of the roof. The T1 offered here is customized in a special way. For example, it has been shortened and has a lowered roof. An iconic model in a unique version. The car is free of road tax and MOT obligation.
