This Volkswagen Ruska Buggy is a nice appearance. The car was originally delivered new in the Netherlands and is in a driving condition. The car has some imperfections, but these do not detract from the pleasure that can be experienced with this car. The engine delivers 1,300cc. It is equipped with, among other things: recently new disc brakes and front calipers. Body lift, Porsche fuch rims with new tires, New brake lines, New suspension, Fitted with new mufflers. There is a valid MOT until 12-09-2021.Ruska Buggies was a Dutch car factory of buggies based on Volkswagen Beetles. Since 1968, the Amsterdam garage owner Arie Ruska Sr. has been producing buggies on a Volkswagen chassis. In the 1970s, production – in the middle of Amsterdam's Jordaan – increased to 250 to 300 per year and the number of models was continuously expanded. Ruska Buggy's thus belonged to the most successful buggy builders in the Netherlands. The low price for which Ruska offered his cars (in the beginning about 4500 guilders, slightly more than 2000 euros) must have been no stranger to this. Under the constantly changing appearance, the reliable Beetle engine, the Beetle chassis and the polyester for the body remained unchanged. After twelve years of great success, in which they grew to an annual production of 350 units, the BVB tax was introduced and the attraction of the low prices was over. Sales in the Netherlands collapsed and Ruska set up a successful export to the Middle East for a short time. Due to the war between Israel and Lebanon, this market also dried up and the Ruska car brand died a soft death. Ruska continued as a VW garage with an emphasis on Beetles.
