This is the first series MK2 GTI from a short production run. Car has all the details period correct for the 84 GtI golf. Even the Pirelli alloy wheels on which the car stands are golf MK2 option for 1984. Main differences between this model and later ones is the radio (this radio was available only in 83 and 84 model year), headliner, switches, instrument cluster, fabric on the seats and steering wheel (not insert) which is the same as the one in last MK1 GTI. This GTI went thru a renovation process which ended in 2015. Car was repainted, missing parts were added, engine was rebuilt, all the suspension parts were powder coated, zinc plated and put back together on new quality parts. The car recently had oil service done with Motul for classic cars engine oil. VW issued a certificate for this car which confirms that the body vin and engine numbers are matching according to factory documents. For the last 5 years car was stored in dry garage used only occasionally for short rides. To get a good idea of the car, we advise you to come to one of the viewing days.
