Documentation

The Saab 95 is a station wagon produced between 1959 and 1978 by the Swedish car manufacturer. The “L” stands for Luxe and the “V4” refers to the car's engine configuration. Today, the Saab 95 L V4 is considered a classic and a sought-after car among car enthusiasts and collectors due to its unique design and features. The car has played an important role in Saab's history and is a reminder of the brand's innovative and idiosyncratic character. The Saab offered here is in a running condition. The car has been fully restored and has been owned by a Saab collector for over 25 years. This owner has restored the beautiful 95 and had it repainted in its original color Coelin Blue. The paint still looks good with a deep shine, despite some signs of use. Of course, all decorative strips and rubbers have been replaced and the original steel rims have been repainted and fitted with new chrome hubcaps. The interior is in good condition. New and correct blue fabric upholstery including removable headrests, new blue carpet and beautiful velor mats. The CD player is mounted in the glove compartment and a modern antenna has been mounted. The compact Ford V4 starts immediately thanks to the simple and always reliable manual choke. The clutch and gearbox work as they should. Nice piece of Swedish ingenuity: The 95 was designed by the wayward pilot Sasson, who managed to convince the Saab aircraft engineers after the Second World War that aerodynamics could also make the difference in cars. Sasson stayed with Saab for years and his influence has been decisive for the special design up to and including the Saab 99. He was also a designer for Electrolux, Hasselblad and Husqvarna. This 95 is a real Saab; the design of the back is so contrarian that there is no combination on this planet that resembles this. A car with a strong character and a good appearance.
