Documentation
On October 2, 1962, the first English owner received the keys to this Rover 110. He had ordered a Model 100, but in September the new Model 110 was launched and he was offered the 110 for the same price. Model 110 is equipped with the famous Weslake head and provides the P4 with 110 HP. The gearbox is equipped with the Laycock de Normanville overdrive. On November 13, 1994, the Rover changed hands and the Rover was given a new coat of paint. The owner has attended many Classic Car events and has won several awards. On July 27, 1999, the Rover was sold to the current Dutch owner. In addition to the keys, the various cups that were won were also handed over “because the P4 has won them”. The Rover is in excellent condition and has an extensive purchase and maintenance history. Interesting details are the correspondence between the first owner and the Rover factory before and after the purchase. In one of the letters, the Rover factory explains that up to serial number 66 the series 110 is still supplied with aluminum doors, hood and trunk lid and that the following Rovers have all parts in steel. The present Rover 110 has serial number 26 and is therefore provided with the aluminum parts. The car is exempt from MOT.
