The Silver Spirit heralded a new generation of Rolls-Royce after the takeover of the brand by the Vickers group. The model formed the basis for the Silver Spur, the Flying Spur, the new Silver Dawn, the Park Ward and the Touring Limousine. At sister brand Bentley, the Silver Spirit was the basis of the Mulsanne and the Eight. The Silver Spirit itself took over the base and engine of its predecessor, the Silver Shadow. The Silver Spur was also launched along with the Silver Spirit. This was in fact the same car but with an extended wheelbase. This beautiful Rolls Royce Silver Spur with a new MOT.
