Documentation

This Porsche 928 has only driven 1,979 miles. The Porsche is finished in Minervablau combined with dark blue leather. The car was sold new through Jeffords Motor Cars in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Jim Jeffords was a very well-known driver, team manager and Porsche dealer in the US. An extensive article about his life and career can be found on Hemmings. Jeffords bought the car as a demo car for the showroom and for his own collection. The car remained there until the end of 1985, when his friend Marvin was finally able to convince him to sell the car. So even though the car is an '82 and was first sold in '85, Marvin is technically the first owner. Marvin bought the car with 650 miles on it and drove it around his lake house in Illinois over the summer until 2001, when he parked the car. The car was bought from Marvin by a dealer in early 2018 and spent that summer servicing, driving and showing. The paint is in excellent condition, one panel has been repainted; the passenger-side front fender was repainted in 2000 after scratches in Marvin's garage. The fender has not been removed; the bolts under the hood still have the factory markings with no key marks. The interior is in excellent condition. The car comes with the original manuals and warranty booklet (proving that it was indeed a demo car at Jeffords Motor Cars), along with Certificate of Authenticity, Blaupunkt manuals, 2 factory Minerva paint kits, a receipt from when Marvin made the 1,000 miles service and Marvin's insurance cards/registration over the years. Also the invoice for a major service from July 2018 is present: oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, timing belt, water pump, timing belt tensioner, timing belt pulley, power steering belt, alternator belt, air pump drive belt, A/C drive belt, hood supports, wheel nuts, alternator, Hankook tires and a brake service. All in all an excellent example with a special history. To get a good idea of the car, we advise you to come to one of the viewing days.
