Documentation

The Nash 490 was produced from October 1, 1929, and was the largest addition to the Nash arsenal until then. Besides the fact that the car is built on a luxurious body of which very few are left, the straight eighth twin ignition was way ahead of its time. Both in terms of technique and design, Charles Nash decided to do it completely differently. By using 9 crankshaft bearings and a double ignition, by means of double sets of spark plugs and ignition coils, he did it just a little differently than his colleague manufacturers. This car comes from a collection and rebuilding has started, so it offers a nice basis for a restoration project. The current owner is willing to share his knowledge gained over the past 40 years with the new owner. With this car we emphasize extra to inspect the car on one of our viewing days. To get a good idea of the car, we advise you to come to one of the viewing days.
