The W210 is an executive car produced from 1995 to 2002. They were sold under the E-Class model names in both sedan and station wagon types. Only 2,870 AMG E50s were ever built and only in 1996/97; there was no right-hand drive version and the model was not sold in the US or UK. There were four engines AMG installed in the W210, the first being the E36, M104.995, launched in 1996, then the M 119.985 in the Euro Spec E50 which AMG only produced in 1997. The body style of all W210 AMG models was the same until 2000, when a facelift and interior upgrades were made. The W210 E55 was the last vehicle of which a large part of production took place at AMG in Affalterbach. Production was actually divided between Affalterbach and the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen until the end of 2001.
