This Mercedes CL600 was part of the top-class coupé model line in the Mercedes range in 2001, based on a slightly shortened version of the S-class platform. Like the S-class, Mercedes equipped the CL with the latest technologies for that time, including countless electronic gadgets, intelligent air suspension and advanced safety systems. For example, the 5.8 liter V12 has intelligent cylinder deactivation, whereby 6 of the 12 cylinders are switched off under a light load.
