Documentation
The 220 S Ponton offered here is a special car from a family collection and was originally delivered in the Netherlands. This is a manual transmission from 1957. The car is in perfect condition, drives, smells and feels like new and is ready for exclusive enjoyment with old-fashioned class. Thumbs up and friendly smiling passers-by betray the wide appreciation for cars of this generation. In 1991 the car came into the possession of the second owner who subsequently ordered a complete restoration. The special thing is that it was carried out by a team of ex-production employees of Mercedes Benz, employees who also built this car new at the time. The restoration, in which costs have been spared, took a significant part of 1992 and is partly captured on photo. There is now a well-maintained car. Driving the car is easy and smooth. Shifting at the steering wheel is quick to get used to, as is the response of the accelerator and brake pedals. The manually operated hood falls smoothly into her storage. The supplied cover then hides it from view and keeps it free of leaves and the like. The roof construction is quite massive and yet manageable on your own. The trunk is huge and also offers space for the spare wheel. That makes it all a usable car, which is so nice for the beautiful days.
