The Jaguar XJ is one of the most important models that Jaguar has built in its more than eighty-year history. It was also the last model in which founder William Lyons had a firm hand in the development. The Jaguar XJ Coupé was introduced in 1975 and, remarkably enough, operated alongside the XJ-S.
