A wolf in sheep's clothing, that's how this 1977 Ford Escort 1600 Ghia can be characterized. This Ford Escort came off the production line in 1977 as a Ford Escort 1600 Ghia automatic, but in the meantime the car has been completely overhauled and converted into a racing car. Both the exterior and the interior are in very good condition. There is a photo report available in which the conversion and the work are included. To get a good idea of the car, we advise you to come to one of the viewing days. A lot of work / upgrades have taken place and they are treated per aspect.

Chassis
• All welding and adjustments for Cosworth engine conversion are professionally carried out by RS Rebuilding in Esbeek, such as:
• Boreham Tarmac alloy wheel arch kit (Gartrac)
• Group 4 front spoiler (Gartrac)
• Widened diff. tunnel, 4-link welds, and Turrets.
• Watts linkage brackets
• Raised trunk floor for extra space diff
• Modified chassis beams for extra maneuvering space at the rear axle

Engine compartment
The engine overhaul was carried out by JB Techniek in Ravels. The cylinder head preparation and fine-tuning to 300+ hp were carried out by HB Motorsport in Middelbeers.
• Sierra Cosworth YB 2.0 liter 16V engine with flowed cylinder head, completely overhauled at the end of 2017
• Garrett T3 Hybrid Turbo, 360 degrees bearing, MSD chip, overhauled in November 2018 by Turbo Service Belgium
• Green Bosch injectors, 3 Bar map sensor, larger intercooler, -34 actuator, dump valve.
• Custom down pipe with full 3 inch stainless steel exhaust system
• Silicone coolant and intercooler hoses
• Airtec radiator/intercooler combination
• All sensors renewed
• Engine breathing system with catch tank and silicone hoses

Trunk
• PrepFab alloy/baffled fuel tank including filler bowl
• Two petrol pumps with Facet Red Top and Filter King pressure regulator in aluminum holder
• 15 inch widened steel spare wheel with Toyo R888 tire
• Battery in aluminum holder

Drive
• Borg Warner T5 Sierra Cosworth gearbox
• Modified/reinforced one-piece intermediate shaft
• Fully Floating Atlas rear axle with 3J's limited slip differential and 18 spline Group1 two-piece thru-axles
• Full 6 linked set-up+ Watts linkage+ alloy diff cover

Undercarriage
• Around Bilstein coil over shock absorbers
• Front brakes: Brembo 4 Pot calipers with 304mm aluminum center discs
• Aluminum hubs on front wheels
• Rear brakes: new Sierra Cosworth disc calipers
