The Ferrari 208 GTB was introduced to respond to the tax law in force in Italy at the time that taxed cars according to engine size. Ferrari took the 308 GTB and installed a two-liter V8 instead of the three-liter V8. This made the sports car much more tax-efficient, but also reduced its performance. To solve this, Ferrari installed a turbo in the later copies, so that the 208 Turbo was no longer inferior to the 308. The explosive character of these turbo engines is sometimes compared with that other early turbo icon, the Porsche 930. This copy was built in 1984. delivered in Italy. The Modena red paintwork makes a classic combination with the beige sports interior. The showpiece of the interior is the beautiful gated manual gearbox that clicks into the next gear with great feeling. This 208 was recently restored and it shows. The Ferrari is in very good condition, both optically and technically. The 208 comes with lots of documentation and invoices, along with a nice folder, tools and two sets of keys. There is also a custom-made cover and a box of spare parts.
