Documentation
The De Tomaso brand combined handmade Italian craftsmanship with reliable American engineering. The Longchamp model has a body designed by Tom Tjaarda van Ghia on a Maserati Quattroporte III chassis, powered by a 330hp Ford Cleveland 5.8L V8 coupled to a three-speed automatic transmission. Only 395 coupés and 14 convertibles of the Longchamp were produced. This example was delivered in 1976 in the US and has been in the Netherlands since 1989. Executed in golden yellow metallic with a light brown leather/velour interior, it is a striking appearance. Virtually every surface is hand-stitched in thick leather and finished with heavy chrome. The very luxurious interior is therefore not inferior to a Rolls-Royce from the same period. This example is both optically and technically in very good condition. The engine starts and runs well. The windshield wipers remain on, this needs to be checked. The De Tomaso comes with documentation and even a nice folder.
