Documentation

This Chevrolet C10 Pick-up truck is of the first generation and is in a condition that, given the age of the car (56 years) in an unrestored condition, you will not easily find it. The car has been in a conditioned room for most of its existence and has seen almost no bad weather, which is clearly visible from the wood in the body. The car is rock solid everywhere and is in almost original condition as it was delivered ex factory according to the specification at the time. At the time, the optional larger West-Coast mirrors were chosen from the factory (or at the dealer), which only makes the face of the car more striking. In February 2020 the car was technically checked and MOT approved. You see much less of the Stepside model in combination with a "Long bed" than the version with a "Short bed", which makes the car a real "eye-catcher" in addition to being more practical (space, advertising?). In addition, the car is simply a joy to drive. This Chevy C10 Pick-up is almost certainly equipped with a 292 Cui (4.8 Ltr) power source, coupled to a 3-speed synchronized manual gearbox. This six-cylinder in-line engine was produced from the early 1960s to the early 1980s. The engine has approximately 165 HP and a torque of approximately 380 Nm (1,600 min-1). Mainly due to the enormous torque and the great reliability, this engine is often installed in the so-called “Big Passenger Cars” in addition to the Pick-ups! C/K is a series of “trucks” manufactured by General Motors at the time. Marketed under the Chevrolet and GMC brands, the C/K series included a wide variety of vehicles. A C (conventional) before the serial number indicates 2-wheel rear-wheel drive, while a K indicates 4-wheel drive. The series “10” refers to the half-ton models and were executed as a pick-up truck as Fleetside or Stepside. The Stepside models have a so-called “Long bed” or “Short bed”. Introduced in 1960, the C/K series was marketed by Chevrolet and produced in four generations. To get a good idea of the car, we advise you to come to one of the viewing days.
