Documentation
The Auto Union 1000 is a compact middle class passenger car with a three-cylinder two-stroke engine and front-wheel drive. It is the successor to the large DKW “3=6” (DKW F93/F94) and the only Auto Union passenger car with the manufacturer's name as the brand name instead of DKW. This Auto Union has a nice and classic look. It seems that the mileage of 20,272 km is original. The car has stood still in a shed for more than 40 years. The car has undergone restoration work, including the following: engine overhauled, steering box overhauled, crankshaft bearings replaced, gearbox overhauled. The car is hard and completely tectylated. Everything is done. It has some signs of wear but still has its original upholstery. A known defect: the suspension is very stiff due to the standstill. The Teflon bushes are stuck and must be loosened. The tires are still original. The brakes have been addressed and overhauled. There are all kinds of stuff in the back: extra ignition coils, radiator, etc. The original workshop manual is included. To get a good impression of the car, we advise you to come to one of the viewing days.
