The Aston Martin Virage Volante was shown to the general public for the first time in March 1992. The new model made such an impression that the open version quickly exceeded the demand for the Saloon. A total of 223 copies of the Virage Volante were built (right and left hand drive together). Major changes from the Saloon included a 4-speed automatic transmission from March 1993, as well as different 17-inch wheels and standard ABS. The later type Volantes were also equipped with a steering wheel with airbag. The hood was electrically operated and equipped with a glass rear window with heating. The Virage Volante offered here is in a neat condition. Both the interior and exterior generally look good. There is a lot of documentation with the car, including a purchase invoice worth 598,250 guilders dated 05-08-1998 and maintenance invoices. In 2005, for example, very major maintenance was carried out on the front of the car, worth 52,448.58 GBP (see photos). It appears that the low mileage is original.
